1. Why are you running for an Executive Board position?
I'm running for SGA president to strengthen the voice of the student body and also strengthen the image of SGA to the student body.
2. What relevant experience do you have with student government at IIT or elsewhere?
In high school I was my class Treasurer and secretary. Also, I was a delegate to the Hawaii State Student Conference, a conference where student delegates propose bills and resolutions to the Hawaii State Legislature on issues that affects students.
At IIT I was one of the first senators in the new SGA senate. I was also a Finance Board member and Student Life committee member. I also participate on student committees like the MTCC advisory committee.
3. What other extra-curricular experiences do you have?
I'm involved in Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity as House Manager and Vice President. I'm also currently the Greek Council President. I'm also invoved in American Society of Civil Engineering.
4. How would you best represent the interest of IIT students in your decision making?
Currently the system is made where SGA listens to its senators for the opinons on the student body. I don't believe this is effective as many times senators have to guess on the opinon of the student body. Also, having General Body Assemblies aren't as effective as there is a lack of attendance by the student poplulation. I envision representing the student body by acutally going up to difrernt students and asking them on thier opinons on issues that are affecting the student body.
5. What strengths do you have that you consider as important to be an Exec Board Member?
Many people say that I'm good with listening and time management. Others have said that I'm a people person who is full of passion and care in whatever I do.
